Prophecies of Jesus from 2 Samuel 7:1-17

Jesus is…

(1)  the son of David (2 Sam 7:12) (Matt 1:1; Acts 13:22–23; Rom 1:3; 2 Tim 2:8; Rev 22:16)

(2)  one who would rise from the dead (2 Sam 7:13) (Acts 2:30; 13:23)

(3)  the builder of the house for God (2 Sam 7:11) (John 2:19–22; Heb 3:3–4.)

(4)  the possessor of a throne (2 Sam 7:13) (Heb 1:8; Rev 3:21)

(5)  the possessor of an eternal kingdom (2 Sam 7:15) (1 Cor 15:24–25; Eph 5:5; Heb 1:8; 2 Pet 1:11)

(6)  the son of God (2 Sam 7:14) (Mark 1:1; John 20:31; Acts 9:20; Heb 4:14; Rev 2:18)

(7)  the product of an immaculate conception, since he had God as his father (2 Sam 7:14) (Luke 1:32–35).

 

Jesus said…

(1)  he would build a temple (Matt 26:61; 27:40; Mark 14:58; 15:29; John 2:19–22).

(2)  he possessed an eternal throne (Matt 19:28–29)

(3)  he possessed an imperishable kingdom (Luke 22:29–30; John 18:36).
